Studies

I spent yesterday in the Louvre, and looked for a long while at two paintings by Poussin and Titian that combine both great formal beauty and immense compassion (a rare combination in art.)

Thank you for writing, Altoon! Yes, it's been a good trip--looked at lots of paintings, walked all over the city, ate many baguettes. I am ready to get back to the quiet of Vermont, and be back with my dogs, and in my studio. Hope to see you soon.
