Houses by the Dock, Hopetown

My first painting of the week here in the Bahamas, sitting by the harbor in the sun.

This painting is part of my Travelogue series. All of these 10" x 10" watercolors are $350., and I'll be donating 1/3rd of sales to Partners in Health, which provides medical services in Haiti and other third world countries. Please click here for more information!

color harmony extraordinaire!
I've been really enjoying your sketches (archives) and even read the Chicago sketchbook tonight. Interesting musings in there along with great sketches. There really is no shortcut to great drawing skills.

Thank you for your thoughts, Mary! I was thinking today about all of the hours i spent in art school in life classes, and how helpful that has been to me over the years.

I appreciate your comment, jyo! I mainly used a triad of aureolin, cobalt and quinacridone coral for this painting.

Ah, the color and light! at home in Vermont it's white and gray.

Yes, this was like eating a frothy dessert after months of hearty wheat bread, Altoon!
