Playing Field at the Batey, Sunset

Most Dominicans are baseball nuts, but soccer is the first love for Haitian immigrants in the Batey.

Sold as a donation to the Batey's clean water project.

Thanks, Linda. I had to paint this quickly, what with the fading light, group of kids investigating my french easel screws, and need to move inside because of mosquitos!

Man, that's a sunset. The greens in it are so suprising.

There's a green-blue sometimes down by the horizon that's always a challenge. Sunsets are always an improvisation.
