After ten days away teaching (and not much time to post to my blog!) I'm on my way home to Vermont with a stop in New York City, where it was good to be painting again this morning in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.

Hey Susan, Noticed the Haiku's at the bottom of your site. Fun! I've been doing that a while and posting them on my site for friends. I find it challenges you to engage you subject in a deeper way.
I really like the strong geometries and rhythms of this painting, Susan, and also the dramatic back lighting.
