Farm, Spring
We're having lovely mornings like these now with a newly-warm sun and hazy yellowed light. On a smaller gardener's scale I'm doing the same May morning work of planting and mulching (playing hookey from my studio every now and then is a necessary guilty pleasure if I'm going to be picking tomatoes this August.)

This is stunning, Susan. There is so much depth, and the light makes interesting patterns of the shadows. And there is movement too, your figures look very busy.
Thanks, Deborah! This painting had echoes of various periods in art history for me while I was working on it: especially Impressionism (farm as subject), Post-impressionism (color shapes)and WPA paintings (working figures). I pulled out the "Corot in Italy" tome at one point, too.
What a great painting , Maam! Nice touches.. Grandioso
Atmospheric, colourful, dynamic. You couldn't ask much more of a painting! petergander.blogspot.com
