The sporadic internet connection at the Studio Center and the snow that's been drifting down for a day and a night are creating a sense of isolation up here in Johnson, Vermont. Earlier in my wintery residency I finished this commission for (patient) friends who have hand-crafted a shangri la home in the hills, and it was a pleasure to look at their spring landscape for a few days, and have probably my only chance to paint a stone tower folly.

Your intense colors are like candy - so mouth-watering and delicious. The promise of spring is in this triptych and love the "castle."
