I painted this as a demonstration on Tahiti Beach, and it became a lesson in how to race in watercolors while trying to keep up with a constantly changing sky.

Many women artists I know don't have children, but being both a mother and a painter has been quite an interesting--if intense, in more ways than one-- journey for me.
