Cloudy Day, Harbor
I found that it may be warm, but it's not always sunny in the Bahamas in January. This was painted with my group from the deck of Harbor's Edge restaurant, where we had some shelter from the wind and rain--plus my lunch favorite, a grouper sandwich and bottle of Kalik, the local beer.

Susan, what an ideal spot to paint, although chilly for you, the spectator sees only colour and joy!
I love how you gave the cloudy sky so much color! It's a lovely sketch!
Thank you, Marie and Debbie. I thought this was going to be a "foggier", softer edged, more neutral painting, given the gray day--but it's always a challenge for me to restrain the color, even when I want more of a tonal approach. There really was all of that (ok, some of that) violet and green in the sky, though!
