Streets in Bonnieux 4

The last of these memories of a Provencal town, before I start painting where I am now, in Galicia.

Here's the complete painting of "Streets in Bonnieux".

Boy. These are great paintings. The warmth and depth of the light is so inviting. Each one stands alone well, but I really like seeing the whole series together. Its like taking walk through this beautiful place!

I love all these little French street scenes! Lovely pure watercolor technique!

I appreciate your comments, Marie, Terri and Kaylyn. I painted this during a morning in this town--divided my paper into four panels, and gave myself a half hour for each. Used three colors--a triad of primaries--which helped move things along. No problem finding compositions there, with such strong sun and shadows.

beautiful colors and great grouping of the 4. Only 3 primaries...you got a lot of color from three. Half hour each! Impresses me, Susan!
