Plastic marshmallow bales hold the energy of the summer field while it sleeps through the long, silent months of winter.

I'll be posting my "Elements" landscapes as I continue to develop that series. Meanwhile, here's another painting that I found in Washington on my recent trip. Seeing this still life again brings back that time in my life so vividly, as though these objects, reflections and shadows are a portal for my usually faulty memory to enter the past.
