Field, Spring

The field at the end of my road, in that late afternoon light that's like an elegy.

This and the summer field painting you posted last week just totally capture the essence of each season. Wonderful paintings!!

Hi, Susan!
I found you through Claire's White River blog, and I keep coming back to this particular painting--for the light, surely, as you say. But also the curving hills remind me of southern Wisconsin, where I grew up. There's nothing like the landscapes of places we were once happy to draw us in, over and over again.
Thank you for your work.
