Memory: Noon Vista, Provence

I'm sitting in my studio this frigid afternoon (garbed in four top layers, long underwear, and a wool hat), trying to extract a little of the warmth of this sun-saturated July afternoon last year in Joucas.

I like all of your work, but your watercolors are my favorites. You've got "it"!

I feel it! (the warmth, that is.)

Why is it that artists' studios are often so cold???

Thank you, Candy and Elizabeth. I'll have to blame the zero temperatures outside for the cold in here the last few days. My Rinnai heater normally does wonders keeping this space warm enough that I can forgo outerwear when I'm painting indoors, but it just can't keep up this week.
