Road and Lavender
It's been hotter and drier than usual here this year, and lavender is being cut earlier than on my past July visits (including this field, which was de-flowered the day after my students and I painted there.)

This lavender piece conveys a seductive quietness. Love seeing the places I watched you paint before!
Спасибо, очень понравились Ваши солнечные работы. Даже написала в своём блоге про Вас. Вы замечательная!
(Thank you very liked your solar work. Even wrote in his blog about you. You are wonderful!)
Not sure why, but the telephone/electrical lines are a striking contrast to the feel of this piece. I cannot imagine a field of lavender but it sure sounds nice!
How wonderful to be able to see and paint a field of lavender! The scent must be an added bonus to the sights all around.
