What a beautiful, beautiful watercolor!
Thank you, all. This is transparent watercolor, painted pretty much with a triad of quinacridone coral (a Daniel Smith color), prussian blue, and aureolin. I didn't have much time, as I spent the first part of our painting session drinking cafe au lait, so I drew a contour sketch with a sepia waterproof pen on Arches paper, then started laying in washes. A "colored drawing" rather than a "painting" seems to be less daunting if I'm working under a faster time constraint.
