Memory: Provence Alley
Here's one more sun-drenched street from last summer (in the wonderful village of Viens) to provide a little warmth before I get back to painting slushy Vermont roads in February.

Thank you! Colors, shapes, compositions are so different between Provence and Vermont. The landscape is really defined by angular shadows in Provence, especially in the villages. Here shapes are much rounder, light more diffused. And Vermont is so much greener in summer and whiter in winter than just about any place I can think of.
