Lemon Tea

I'm in Washington, DC visiting my mother for a few days. This was her mother's china, and it reminds me of having tea with my grandmother when I was a little girl. I embroidered the tea towel for my mother, one of many childhood sewing projects. I think one characteristic artists have in common is a pure and simple love of making things that begins when they are very young.
