Raspberries in a Japanese Teacup


Every day since coming home I've put on long pants and waded into my berry patch, a mess of brambles and wayward daylilies that though untamed and untended still yields up generous bowl after bowl of the most delicate of fruits.

River Run


Looking up the street from the old River Run restaurant in Plainfield, my nearest town. This little building is for sale now, and if I didn't already have a studio I'd consider buying it, if only to have a river running past my back door while I painted.

Painting Lavender Fields


I'm back home, unpacking supplies and looking out my studio window at a very green Vermont.
Here's a thank you to my students in Provence who took a risk, worked hard at their painting, and were willing to believe me when I kept saying that, contrary to popular belief, the visible world is an extremely colorful and oddly-angled place.
