First Tulips

I think I paint flowers because of their fragility as much as their structure and color: as if getting down on paper a bloom's exact curved line or right shade of crimson will allow both of our lives to stop in a moment of beauty.

Little Table, Spring

While I'm away from my studio for a few days, I'll share a few prints inspired by the season. Here's another from the "Little Table" series. Our first tulips will be blooming when I'm back in Vermont this Saturday. Hopefully the cats won't have found the bird's nest near the front porch.
